Mr. Joe Jackson

Back then slave masters controlled the faith of slave children through selling, trading or raping them, today corporations control the faith of our children much the same way. I met Joe Jackson in 1990 when I worked at an electronics retail outlet on Sunset and La Brea in Hollywood, California I had met his manager previously who had promised to introduce us.

I could hardly believe the Jackson Family patriarch was in my store and we were having a conversation. He stood looking confident and spoke softly with the wisdom of an African grandfather.

I felt I had known him all my life, we spoke at length about Africa and he was especially interested in my Nigerian heritage. I would visit his home in Encino on a couple of occasions also to help with setting up the entertainment system he purchased.

I would run into Mr. Jackson again about a year later in Paris at Charles de Gaulle Airport while waiting on a delayed connecting flight to Los Angles. He saw me from a distance and walked towards me with starstruck females hounding him for autographs and photographs.

Mr. Jackson seemed more interested in spending the next couple of hours speaking with me at the airport lounge than tending to his fans, I got the impression he was a bit irritated by the display. This time he spoke about living in America as a black man, how greedy and evil the corporations that run the music industry are.

Years later I would come to truly understand Mr. Jackson’s frustrations as I battle a couple of evil corporations myself. Mr. Jackson spoke about how Michael was manipulated by the industry. You see Mr. Jackson spoke like a man who had lost his only son. He knew it was only a matter of time before they took his life. – @OgbeniAyotunde

Just Another Nigger

In America we have a population that tolerates politicians and lawmakers alike spewing hateful and racially charged rhetoric at President Barack Obama regardless of how hurtful this might be to his daughters Sasha and Malia, and his wife Michelle. These same politicians swear they don’t have a war against women, but we know better.

These “disguise leaders” as Fela called them played political correctness last Halloween, so they did not wear the Obama Blackface masks to hide their faces of hate. Guess what they did, they pulled the shades in polling booths and expressed their hate for the black man in the White House.

You see in America, African Americans are never judged by their performance on the job but by the color of their skin. So America has the lowest unemployment rate in 6yrs, the economy recovered from the Bush years, he got Bin Laden, he mandated affordable healthcare for all Americans, the list goes on. Still he is judged by the color of his skin.

President Barack Obama
President Barack Obama

President Obama accomplished these despite a Republican congress and rich white cats disguised as corporations hiding their riches overseas. Some call them the illuminate I call them the Klan.

They are the ones that swore on the first day he took office to do everything in their power to make his presidency a failure. You see they are scared of another young black man in the White House so they take out the next Obama in Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown.

Apartheid Politics

From 1776 to 2008 Americans elected white presidents, since the civil rights movement African Americans participated in electing white presidents. President Barack Obama was elected first African American president in 2008 and reelected in 2012, since then the conservatives have blamed him for everything from the economy, terrorism, the Central American children at the Texas border to Ebola.

Governor Rick Perry of Texas, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and the Republican Party claimed President Barack Obama is responsible for the children fleeing war and poverty in their homeland (Central America) because he encouraged them to come. They blamed President Obama for ISIS, a war they started.

President Barack Obama
President Barack Obama

The conservatives blamed President Barack Obama for Ebola and yesterday their leading mouthpiece Bill Kristol backed by Mary Matalin joined the chorus of conservatives calling for the quarantine of Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia. They asked all 2016 Republican presidential candidates beat President Obama with the Ebola whip, mind you President Obama is not running for office in 2016.

You see Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia have one thing in common they don’t have oil. Maybe by luck or design Nigeria the largest oil producer in Africa was able to contain the spread of Ebola. The WHO moved swiftly to declare Nigeria Ebola free, you see the US gets a big chunk of its oil from Nigeria.

During the SARS epidemic in Asia, the US did not quarantine China their “breadbasket” or any other affected countries in Asia they had strong economic ties to. Yes the World Health Organization showed up to contain the spread of SARS in Asia, the Africans are not so lucky.

The country affected the most by Ebola is Liberia, the only American colony in Africa, populated by descendants of American slaves. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky believes the Republicans can get a third of the African American vote in one circle if they play them the right songs. So Senator Rand Paul is on the road meeting “African American Leaders” playing them songs from his playlist while blaming President Obama for Ebola and for not quarantining the Africans, play on players.

Ted Cruz Cleaning The Plantation of His Masters

It is common knowledge that people who have that “inferiority complex syndrome” will obsessively mirror those they admire the most, they would also go all out to disparage them. You see they lack confidence.

Let’s take Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, he has spent his whole life running from who he is, his heritage. In my language we call such a person “Omo Ale” in English a bastard. You see he is not comfortable in his own skin.

So with all his Ivy League education and senatorial job which was given to him by the same extremists that are busy plotting to deprive his people of their basic rights as Americans. Does preaching ideals of these men who persecuted his people, my people and the natives 250 years ago the American dream. You see that doctrine is dead.

Does shutting the government down so Americans can’t get affordable healthcare a noble fight. Does championing the ideals of a racist group make Ted Cruz white? In the black community we call such a person a “House Nigga” an “Uncle Tom”. You see they lack vertebrae.

As a Nigerian I know that we are exceptional people. We are exceptional cause we are confident in who we are, we are a proud people. So Ted Cruz took a direct swipe at a 175 million Nigerians when he said President Barack Obama hired “Nigerian email scammers” to run Obamacare.

Ted Cruz held a gun to the head of the American people while the Tea Party robbed them. You see he is what we call a “mugun”

Sacrificial Lamb

A friend in Nigeria was surprised that African Americans are not out in the streets rioting and causing all kinds of havoc and mayhem in the aftermath of the George Zimmerman not guilty verdict. I told him the thought never crossed my mind as I witnessed the growth of the African American community in one generation
Sitting in a Starbucks writing this article I just so happen to be listening in on a conversation between two caucasian gentlemen about the Trayvon Martin case and another surprise at how the verdict did not result in a race riot. “I mean where are the riots” one asked the other to which he answered ” They have just been peaceful protests” he went on to correct his friend that Al Sharpton did not call for riots in the streets as his friend had implied.
I have also been offered the opinion that Chicago averages over 21 gun murders monthly and that there is some kind of political gain for President Barack Obama because Al Sharpton is not out in the streets of Chicago everyday protesting the murder rate. Seems to me this gentleman is trying to pick what battles Al Sharpton should fight.
The killing of young African Americans is not a new dimension in their playbook. The practice is as old as the slave trade. In the last 2 decades there have been one too many Trayvon Martin, Christopher Wallace and Tupac Shakur.
You ask why the bounty on the blood of young African Americans? Simple, the last form of control they have is the gun. Religion, drugs, prison, police, disease, colonization all failed. So to keep guns you need to have gun laws validated with the blood of the one you fear. The keepers of these laws is the NRA. You make laws against those you feel threatened by and you kill those you fear.
Back to why I did not expect violence from the African American community. It is in the African tradition not to fight violence with violence The Rodney King Beat down by LAPD already proved to the world that African Americans are not the aggressors but victims of this system.
The African American community grew stronger and wiser from the Rodney King experience by raising a generation of thinkers totally contradicting the image projected of the young violent black man. Yet they continue to inflict unjust violence on them.

Black Presidents

Black South Africans broke loose of white supreme rule just over 20 years ago. The living symbol of South Africa’s freedom Nelson Mandela struggles for his life in Pretoria Hospital.  It is obvious that black South African’s are still reeling from the effects of apartheid and the lessons of those dark times still haunt today.

It took over 230 years for America to elect a black person president, am talking about Barack Obama from Kenya. In my lifetime I have witnessed the first black American president and the first black South African president. That said it is in bad taste for protestors who believe Barack Obama is not doing enough to curb the problem of bad leadership and corruption in many African nations to use Pretoria hospital as the venue to pull Obama’s coat.

We Africans understand that bad leadership and corruption has plagued the leadership of the African continent for many decades after colonial rule. The historic occasion of Barack Obama spending maybe last private moments with Nelson Mandela should not be tainted by these protests. This is not the African way. It is a disrespect to the honor and legacy of Nelson Mandela, the people of South Africa, Africans, African Americans and President Barack Obama. – @OgbeniAyotunde
