What Would Fela Do?

Fela never once used violence or advocated violence through his music to get his message across. Rather he put his life on the line with every lyric he wrote – @OgbeniAyotunde

The Nigerian Social Welfare Trap

The trending mantra in Nigeria is “doing something for the youth”. The youth are waiting for the same mutherfuckers that held them down for decades to now uplift them. This is like a slave waiting for his master to set him free.

So the Nigerian government offered to put the unemployed youth on a N5000 monthly dole. (That is $25 a month for those struggling with the conversion)

If the Nigerian government gets in the social welfare business it will result in an unskilled, lazy and unemployable generation. Heck am sure Boko Haram pays their recruits more than $25. – @OgbeniAyotunde
