“I must be honest….. Africa has been a continent that seldom attracted my interest, visually, artistically, culturally or musically, and it is probably the last place on earth that I have wanted to visit. UNTIL…. I came across your blog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Exquisite photos, interesting videos, and a remarkable information center. You have enlarged my world by an entire continent. You have presented it so beautifully without glossing over the realities, and without bending toward stereotypes. Thank you Thank you Thank you for enriching my life! Kudos for a wonderful blog!” – Graphicmatrix
“You guys are awesome! Documenting Nigeria, all of it…not just some of it.
Well done!!!” – Obisco1
“Wow…what powerful statements in here: “what are the chances of Akintunde a Danfo driver in Ibadan ordering his new living room furniture from Ikea” and especially the closing question. Thank you for informing readers about this situation, Ogbeni.” – Steph Glaser
“Whenever I am feeling sad from some small inconvenience, I will think of you and this Blog and be grateful for my many Blessings. Thank you for sharing this with a world often without a clue.” – Gator Woman
“I have to let you know, the more I go through your content the more I enjoy it. The snippets of African life are amazing. The ordinary aspects of life, especially in Nigeria, such as a tea maker on the street, or children paying their teacher before class begins, captures hidden gems of ordinary life. Thank you for making this media available. Regards, Uwera P.S. Would love to have JuJu films guest blog.”
“After the incident in Nairobi, it’s very saddening to hear of this attack in Nigeria. Especially in light of the fact that this carnage has been continuing for a long time now. These kinds of attacks must be condemned in the loudest language and their instigators too. However, it is the individuals and not the religion that make it bad. Islam is the religion of peace, but crazy fanatical believers are using it for their own gain!” – gnovember
“Great photo! You really always give us a great internal view of Africa, its culture and typical real daily life!” – geoch1
“Love your photos and writing. Such a sense of place. I’m going to India next month and will take plenty of pictures, but they won’t even be in your league” – Southern Belle Goes AWOL

Hello. I came by to thank you very much for visiting my blog and for the ‘like’ on the post about Varanasi. It truly is an extraordinary city. In case you’re interested there’s a second post on Varanasi focusing on life on the Ganges here http://alisonanddon.wordpress.com/2013/02/10/india-part-15-varanasi-the-holy-city-of-benares/
You have some beautiful photos. I was in Nigeria but it was a long time ago. I did a 4 month overland trip from Johannesburg to Morocco – quite an extraordinary journey.
Keep up the good work. We plan to visit Africa again in the future.

Hello, Jujufilms,
I want to say thanks for following me at http://www.oldspouse.wordpress.com.
I’d like to add that if you enjoy my “This Old Spouse” column, I think you’ll love this:
http://www.amazon.com/The-Oklo-Device-ebook/dp/B00F9IPO04/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1379510327&sr=1-1
Or you can go here:
http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/354657
It’s a terrifying story called The Oklo Device.
Take a look at the story; see if you get hooked on it, e-mail me at roger.white@tasb.org, and I’ll send you the rest. If you like the story, please share with others. This is the only way good things happen today–agents and publishers are of the dinosaur era. They’re slow; they’re frightened; and they’ll eat you if you’re not careful. We’re on our own. I truly believe in this book. If you do, too, share it with someone. Thank you!
And thank you so much, again, for being one of the faithful.
Best regards,
Roger White

I dropped by to see what you were about after you followed and liked my blog… and being suddenly immersed the painful story of Nigeria was very overwhelming with so many striking images. In the article Rogue Army posted on July 4th the expression “These pussy soldiers…” was used when they were not rescuing the abducted Nigerian girls. When rescuing girls, using the term “pussy” as a weak term for a soldier or a man is just another way to disempower the girls. Pussies are in fact powerful. They draw a lot of derogatory reactions, but they are what make Mother Africa birth weak sons who would abduct them. They are mesmerizing. They are blamed for being seductive, but blame like that is giving power to the pussy not diminishing it. When hailing Mama Africa, please don’t shame the vagina. Your cause for Nigeria is important. The women of Nigeria deserve to feel beautiful about their bodies, not taboo, and they deserve rights to educating their minds, nurturing their spirits and leading their own paths. I appreciate your arts and film community project’s intention to bring awareness to the issues and as a hip hop fan I realize that the word “pussy” can be used as a slur and also to empower depending on the context and the artist. Many lines are blurred with language and I can also be brusque in my own essays, poetry and writing. In this case however, I felt the need to draw your attention to this sensitvity. Thanks for hearing me out.

Hi JuJu, I haven’t picked my jaw up from the floor yet. You’re site is just what I needed. When the girls where kidnapped I didn’t know much about Nigeria. I’m not sure how I got on your radar but thankful you found me. My concerns for the Nigerian people has escalated with the increase in violence. I would love to learn more about you. You chose such an interesting line of work. I feel you are compassionate for showing life of people often over looked. You’re a blessed man. I haven’t had a chance to devour you site but look forward to learning how you reached this point in life. The few Nigerian people I’ve met were very giving, happy and spiritual. I also love the accent. I live in Texas in America, we are known for our slow drawn our accent. I know you are incredibly busy so if you don’t mind, I’ll ask you questions and you answer when you can. To spend a week with you talking to people from several African nations would be a dream. Being American, it seems intimidating to think of going to that area of the globe. It’s not the everyday people it’s all the violence to the everyday person. I still pray for the girls everyday. I so hope they are found soon. Have an awesome day. 🙂

Hi I’m from Cebu, Philippines!
I case you may not know, Philippines is a country in the most South East part of Asia, Geographically, it just below China, Japan and Taiwan, East of Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore, and North of Indonesia. The country is a group of islands, which is called an archipelago.
I am also into the passion of promoting our country, focusing on Cebu. I appreciate your blog and I get a lot of insights on Nigeria ( right? or you cover other parts of Africa also )…. thanks and hope to see more posts, There might be more I have not seen.

Do you have any film on like dangerous snakes of Africa? I am a huge snake lover so haha. I have aways wanted to get very close physically, to a dangerous snake like a cobra.
LikeLike
Hmmm am afraid I don’t, haven’t gotten around to that.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Well maybe you should make one, with an idea of how some people fear certain snakes. One snake that I have heard many people are scared of in Africa is the black mamba. Highly speedy and toxic snake. I have heard it can kill you in 20 minutes. However, that is subject to debate.
LikeLike
Yes the black mamba is a feared snake for good reason. I will leave making dangerous snake films to the professionals at National Geographic with resources and anti venom Incase of snake bite

WHAT MAKES A BLOG SUCCESSFUL? Understanding how readers perceive LIFESTYLE BLOGS
Hello!
My name is Elia Pacheco and I am conducting a qualitative study of the factors that make a blog successful for a school project I am doing in the course Qualitative Methods. You are well known in the blogging community and I am wondering if you would be willing to be interviewed for this project. All your responses would be anonymous and no identifier would be provided to connect you with a specific response. I would be more than happy to provide you with a copy of my final report. I also would very much appreciate it if you could pass my name to other well-known bloggers that you think may be willing to be interviewed for this project. My email is eliacomm477@gmail.com.
Thanks!

WHAT MAKES A BLOG SUCCESSFUL? Understanding how readers perceive LIFESTYLE BLOGS
To Project Participant:
You are invited to take part in a research project conducted by Elia Pacheco Amaro a student at California State University, Los Angeles. In this study we hope to learn more about understanding the success factors for a blog that would help specialists in Public Relations better design communication strategies that can have a long-lasting impact. This project is novel in that it focuses specifically on lifestyle blogs. You were selected to participate in this study because you are a blogger in the lifestyle blog sphere. We hope that our research will lead to understand what makes a blog successful, which may be helpful for students of communications and public relations.
You will be answering a short questionnaire about your activities as a blogger that should not take more than 10 minutes.
There is a minimal risk that you may feel discomfort but you may refrain from answering any question that makes you uncomfortable.
Reports resulting from this study will not identify you as a participant. All information gathered in this study will remain anonymous and be given out only with your permission or as required by law. If you chose to participate, we will protect your anonymity. Web-based surveys (e.g., Survey Monkey) will not collect IP addresses. Data will be kept in separate locked locations for three years following the completion of this research project as required by law.
If you have any questions about this research at any time, please call Beryl Bellman at 323-343-4262 or write him at bbellman@calstatela.edu. You can also call Elia Pacheco at 626-802-7756 or write her at EliaComm477@gmail.com.
If you choose not to take part there will be no penalty or loss of benefits to which you are entitled. If you agree to take part, you are free to withdraw from it at any time. Likewise, no penalty or loss of benefits to which you are otherwise entitled will occur.
THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN REVIEWED BY THE CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY, LOS ANGELES INSTITUTIONAL REVIEW BOARD FOR THE PROTECTION OF HUMAN SUBJECTS IN RESEARCH. ADDITIONAL CONCERNS AND COMPLAINTS, OR QUESTIONS REGARDING YOUR RIGHTS AS A RESEARCH PARTICIPANT, SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO THE ASSOCIATE VICE PRESIDENT FOR RESEARCH AND ACADEMIC PERSONNEL (Phone number: 323-343-3798).

I must be honest….. Kudos for a wonderful blog!
