Yes I think the the big coops and farmer’s markets in the city are ridiculous like the one on Fairfax and 3rd in Los Angeles or the one on Wisconsin ave in Bethesda MD. When I lived in Maryland I found the good fruits and vegetables from local farmers on roadsides and there was no shortage of places to get fresh seafood from the Chesapeake. In Los Angeles there are a few places that sell live chickens direct from local farmers. I prefer the old hens.
It is crazy it cost so much to eat healthy in the US. I remember the first time I tasted chicken in the US felt like I bit into antibiotics, the chicken tasted like medicine. How is the urban garden and poultry laws in NY? I know in DC and some parts of LA County you are allowed to plant and raise some chickens. Trader Joes have more reasonable prices than Wholefoods.
LOL..it’s true about the chicken tasting like medicine thats for sure..and, in regards to wholefoods, I have yet to enter a store and never will..I do like trader joes and costco
yeah, I do mostly farmers markets, they are way better than the big corps in regards to fruits and veggies..I wish I had my own garden..maybe one day soon 🙂

Organically grown in small farms without the chemicals that make them photogenic for magazines and beautiful display at the Giant or Wholefoods market
