School Children

I believe the sun shall rise tomorrow, I believe the rain nourishes the earth. I believe in creation and understand evolution. I believe in the innocence of children. I believe given the chance the youth shall grow. I believe in life.
I believe in the power of the universe. I believe in my God. I believe my beliefs can never change the universe. I beleive my beliefs are not worth dying or killing for. I believe in the children awoken in their sleep to be slaughtered by Boko Haram as a sacrifice to their God. This is for the children not given the chance to believe.- @OgbeniAyotunde

  3. This is really beautiful!
I’m curious about what your opinion on the recent #bringbackourgirls hashtag is. It’s obviously great that this is getting such a high level of press, but why this incident and not any other similar incidents? K x

    1. Peace K, I believe because this is an ongoing crisis, it caught the sensibilities of the world through social media, and the world believes there is a good chance of recovering the girls. As humans we are also inclined to fight winning battles as the attention of the world shifts from the missing Malaysian Airlines plane. You see Boko Haram kept stepping up the level of atrocities committed in Nigeria because we have a corrupt and hypocritical government who are virtually powerless against them. 3 years ago Nigeria’s information minister ordered the press to ignore Boko Haram as they were just seeking attention. K your guess is as good as mine why this one incident, why did Nigeria and the rest of the world not react when these young kids were burnt to death as they slept in their dormitories. I truly appreciate your insight.

      1. Great response. I am just always fascinated by the way certain incidents gain news coverage, and yet others are completely ignored. The difference we could all make to the world we live in simply from being more AWARE is incredible. I really appreciate your response, really insightful. Thank you. K x
