It sure does, could also pass for a basketball arena lol. When Nigeria was divided into regions Ibadan was the capital of the Western Region. The British Colonials established many landmark institutions in Ibadan including the first tv and radio stations in Africa and the first broadcast in Africa was from Ibadan by Mrs Anike Agbaje Williams who nicknamed me “Dodo Man” cause every time she came around to my house she would always find me eating dodo (plantains) lol.
Ibadan is also known as the wild wild west, one can reasonably claim the Nigerian civil war (Biafra war) started in the Ibadan surbub of Lalopon with the assassination of the then military head of state Major General Aguiyi Ironsi.
Ibadan was the largest and most populous city in the country and the third in Africa after Cairo and Johannesburg, yeah my hometown.
