There is no shortage of people trying to change my way of life to meet their expectations. They believe it is their “religious” duty to save my soul from burning in hell. To these people I say see you in hell. | Ogbeni Ayotunde

Ogbeni, I don’t know how others have approached you, whether with love or heavy-handedness. I wish that the way we write could also convey the love in our hearts. I hope you can hear the love in my heart for you when I tell you that my purpose for sharing my faith with you is that you might find supreme joy and happiness from having a father-daughter relationship with the One who Created you. If you choose not to accept God’s offer of love, I will not love you less.

Oh by no way is my statement directed towards you I truly appreciate your thoughts, kindness and love, as a matter of fact it is directed at some individual family members who continue to use their faith as the means of, for lack of a better word rudely intruded in my life. My belief in life is everyone has the right to make their mistakes in life, without those mistakes we can never get it right.
I believe it is a rouse when people use their faith as the tool to meddle another’s life. There is that propaganda to live like Jesus or be more like Mr. Smith. So now I spend my whole life living like Jesus and trying to be more like Mr Smith, when do I live like Ogbeni?
I think religion should be used to enhance individuality not produce clones of our expectations.

You have good words Ogbeni. May truly find your way to lasting happiness and salvation on the path laid out for you and you alone. Don’t let others rush you onto their path, it might not include the scenes that are necessary for you to see and experience along your way. No matter what our mistakes, God loves us all and will forgive us if our mistakes have offended Him!

I fully respect the right of all people to worship (or not) in whatever way resonates with them, which is why the one aspect of religion I cannot abide is those who force their beliefs on others.
I see all religions as simply different ways to express the same thing and in that there is no right or wrong path. As you said, it’s for each individual to find their own way.

Thank you much Amanda for your thoughts and comment. The world would be a better place if we all shared your view of respect and tolerance. This lack of respect of humanity eventually manifests into hate and eventually destruction.
