  1. Looks like a nice place to live but not good for traveling on rainy days.

    1. Your are absolutely right on that. I lived on this street and it is horrible during the raining season. The street is like a river and impassable. The white house with the black roof is valued at 450million Naira which is equivalent to $2.9m, as you can see there are no storm drains, no running public water or sewer, no electricity and the street is not even paved.

      The guy that owns this house is building another one with an even bigger roof that you can see off the freeway on the next street, a few hundred yards away. The irony of this is that this estate was created by Gen. Sani Abacha for working people and civil servants just a few miles from the capital central.

      It has become increasingly difficult for corrupt politicians and their cronies to cart their stolen loot overseas so they dump the money on properties like this, making housing in the estate out of the reach of the people it was meant to serve. They are able to get away with this because Nigeria does not have a property tax system. I believe $2.9m could have been better invested creating employment than stashed in personal property.
