The day i wanted to comment on this post my internet connection went astray (you know how in Africa everything is a luxury even internet which is a shame). I forgot until today. I wanted to comment on this post particularly because the word Akara reminds me of my sisters-in-law who are from Gabon and one day that we were watching a Naija movie where a man was selling Akara they absolutely wanted to see how it looked like. As soon as they did, they busted in laughter. I was like: “Euh, what’s going on? Did I miss something?” They later explained the meaning of the word in their mother tongue…you don’t wanna know.
