I was on my way to Nnewi to shoot Nuhu Ribadu at Ojukwu’s funeral and was captivated and amazed by the scenes and culture in the Nsukka area. I stayed in Obolo and Iheaka with my driver’s family. They have a farm in their backyard where most everything they eat come from. My experience in the Nsukka area gave me an understanding and respect for the Igbo woman and their role in the family and culture. The Igbo woman is the true Queen on the chessboard.

It’s a shame that a lot of ethnic groups in Nigeria don’t know a lot about one another except the negative stereotypes. We have so much to offer one another, so much.
I’m glad you had such an amazing experience and you’ve chosen to share it with us.

One of my goals with this blog is to show the beautiful and positive sides of Nigeria which is not so difficult as Nigeria is a collective of unique ethnic groups with beautiful cultures.
