If you see yourself as giving up on your life to save the world, then you might as well stop what you’re doing and instead ask what you really want to do with your life. No one person can save the world, you can’t be the pied piper for the world’s billions, but you can enrich people’s lives with whatever work you feel also enriches you. Only don’t do work you think you “ought to do”, do work your heart tells you to do.

Really good question Juju!
I use to ask myself this question for ten years before I realize that I should ask instead « Is anyone would do anything to save my life? ».
So Why should I?
The Crazy Crone is right, take care of you first because you can’t save the world and often, the person you are trying to save could be the one that will step on your head tomorrow.
Only try to be the person you wish to see in the world without putting your own life in undesired circumstances.
Have a good day Juju and take it easy! Human are very special thing to taste.
Take care

Every person is a world, including yourself. You can give up your life in many ways – and if you do it with the pure purpose of providing enlightenment and ease of suffering, you gain a new life and contribute to a better world.

If you are giving up your life for something, then you shouldn’t be asking what’s in it for you. Giving isn’t about you, it’s about who you’re helping. Perhaps you are in a place in your life where you need to focus on you first.

I pray because I believe in a creator that loves and shed His blood for us that we may have life and have it abundantly. Not that we won’t have trials or difficulty. In this it does not mean that we can just do what we want. That we live life with integrity, with compassion, kindness, love, patient and with humility. It’s very simple but mankind has made so much complicated. I learned years ago that Jesus loves me as a child. Life has not always been easy, but we all have lessons to learn and the learning often comes best by sorrow, hardship, not in ease..God Bless you Juju! ps hatred starts in the hearts as does love…
