I find this an amazing shot. So markedly different from where I’ve lived. And a glaring reminder that the “poorest” places I have been in look guilded with gold in comparison to this village and many places in Africa.

The “Fried Yams” photo shows that red dirt.
They say the dirt you see in my blog photos of the Bahamas is from Africa that has blown here over millions of years by trade winds.
Interesting it does look exactly the same.
