Sabo in Hausa is the same concept as Chinatowns. This Sabo in Ibadan housed one of the earlier cinema theaters in Ibadan. Growing up in Ibadan I watched a number of movies @ Scala, then the new KS in Agodi Gardens where I was introduced to American movies like Car Wash, Cleopatra Jones etc. Sadly Scala has been demolished by some boob and replaced with a crapy looking shopping center.
