Taiwo & Kehinde Lijadu
One of my fondest memories of growing up in Ibadan was that I lived a couple of neigbourhoods from the most beautiful sisters in the world, the Lijadu sisters. I had a mad crush on them. I would walk to their house just to watch them act out in front of their house. As a kid it was like going to the movies, but what you might call todays reality TV.
So here I am clowning with them, they still have that same beautiful energy, still crazy and very much still in tune. They still scold me and punch me whenever I see them but I always leave them having better understanding.

Just a footnote for you Fela heads out there did you know the Lijadu sisters mother was a famous artist and sculpture who did the shrine in Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s Shrine.
