In America we have a population that tolerates politicians and lawmakers alike spewing hateful and racially charged rhetoric at President Barack Obama regardless of how hurtful this might be to his daughters Sasha and Malia, and his wife Michelle. These same politicians swear they don’t have a war against women, but we know better.
These “disguise leaders” as Fela called them played political correctness last Halloween, so they did not wear the Obama Blackface masks to hide their faces of hate. Guess what they did, they pulled the shades in polling booths and expressed their hate for the black man in the White House.
You see in America, African Americans are never judged by their performance on the job but by the color of their skin. So America has the lowest unemployment rate in 6yrs, the economy recovered from the Bush years, he got Bin Laden, he mandated affordable healthcare for all Americans, the list goes on. Still he is judged by the color of his skin.

President Obama accomplished these despite a Republican congress and rich white cats disguised as corporations hiding their riches overseas. Some call them the illuminate I call them the Klan.
They are the ones that swore on the first day he took office to do everything in their power to make his presidency a failure. You see they are scared of another young black man in the White House so they take out the next Obama in Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown.

There are many, many people trying to improve race relations, that do not judge a person based on color, religion, gender but on his character and intellect and good will, how do you suppose President Obama became the President of the United States? There is also enough reverse discrimination clearly displayed in this post.

I thank you for your comment. There are always people in America trying to improve race relations from abolishing slavery to the Civil Rights Movement and the same movement that elected President Obama after 200 years of white presidents. At the same time there are also many people trying to keep the status quo, then there are the people that buy what is filtered down through a controlled mainstream media.
My statement is not a generalization as African Americans are still judged today by the color of their skin. My first experience of racism in America happened in Madison WI, coming from Nigeria it took me awhile to understand racism and I can tell you there is more racism in America today than 30years ago.
You see chucking this under “reverse discrimination” trivializes the memories of Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, and the many African Americans that died and continue in the hands of racist cops and people, backed by racist laws. I believe you need to check into the American black prison population and black unemployment before you claim my post is a generalization.

The elected officials are a representation of the people. I have never seen so much hate directed at a black man. You see Obama showed the world that America is far from a harmonious society. I am looking forward to the next class of conservative Republicans, you know like the one from Wisconsin who believes the Martin Luther King day is an insult to Americans and wants to wipe out Kwanza, exactly how he is going to accomplish that I have no idea.
The bible carry conservative base the Republican Party is selling to feed off hate, the more hate you can spew the more electable you are. This is a party that wears hate on their sleeves, they proudly went out to vote hate, regardless of who was running on the Democratic platform.

We do not judge anyone by their sin color, we all have the same pigmentation but depending on our D.N. A ancestory is how we present. God sees the heart not the outward appearance of our skin.
God also sees those who choose to disobey His guidelines as rebellious and those who call good what He calls evil or evil what He calls good, as sinful too.
The people elect the Government and President on what they focus on and present as acceptable, so if our own values are wrong we reap what we sow but God tells us we are not to show disrespect to those who are in Leadership over us or anyone else, even our enemies, we are to pray for them and obey the laws of the Country but this does not mean we agree with evil.
When I vote for a Leader or Party, with being a Christian I look for those who focus on Christian principles and uphold God’s guidelines and don’t oppose them or willingly allow evil. Things like Abortion which God calls murder or Homosexuality which God calls evil as He does Prostitution, Child cruelty and Elderly abuse and neglect etc. Yes He tells us to discriminate against all evil and not welcome it or agree with it and so those who are wise in matters of Godliness will seek those to Lead them who are the same, the rest will answer for the wrong they choose and allow.

Thank you Anne for your insight on this topic. I find it a little confusing when you say we do not judge anyone by their sin but on the other hand when you vote you vote for a leader or party who focuses on Christian principles and upholds God’s guidelines which include sins like homosexuality, abortion, prostitution and child cruelty, isn’t this judging someone by their sins?
The trans Atlantic slave trade was largely carried out on Christian principles, missionaries and churches fully participated in the trading and owning of African slaves. A few Christian American presidents owned slaves. America is a Christian nation and founded on Christian principles no doubt, and with Christian principles committed the largest mass murder of Africans and Native Americans to date.
Christians believe 7 billion people around the world should think like them, the Americans call it Manifest Destiny. You see this is why the Democrats lost at the polls, they have a black president who believes homosexuals have rights, that every American should have affordable healthcare, that he managed not to get America into a war unnecessarily risking the lives of young Americans and the young foreign children they are sent to kill, that he is not opposing evil by fighting the Supreme Court on abortion while innocent Americans are languishing in prisons and executed, kids killed in their schools, classrooms and cinemas, poverty, and homelessness. I can tell you right now as an African I do not live my life on Christian principles.

Our skin colour Ogbeni is not about sin, the others I mentioned are and God tells us to rebuke all those who sin and yet claim to be Christians, in Love and for Love, by using His Truth not what Carnal man thinks is sin because of their own agenda or misunderstanding.
It is not Love to watch Satan get a foothold in peoples lives and so let them pollute and hurt others as well as themselves, we reap the evil we sow and we do not have the right to hurt others regardless of how small they are by what we want to do. Yes we are to Love everyone but this does not mean we agree and willingly allow the evil they do, no one has the right to do evil and they will be judged for it unless they repent, this is their choice, God won’t force them to, we all choose where we will spend Eternity, it is not God’s will anyone perishes, which means to be separated from Him and all that is good, Hell is never ending evil.
God tells us not to agree with what He calls evil or reject what He calls good and I and many other Christians stand up for God’s Truth not what man propagates in their misunderstanding regardless of who they are even those in Leadership or do we accept the bigotry of those who persecute Christians, because we seek to do God’s will and yes sharing His Truth is His will both with Children and Adults.
A lot of Christians opposed the cruelty of the Slave Trade, as they did Hitler and his evil attack on the Jews, some even risking their own lives to save them. The Media mostly focuses on those who call themselves Christians but are Carnal in their focus and actions and do what God tells us not to do.
Just because we are Born in a garage does not make us a Car or does calling ourselves a Car make us a car, actions speak louder than words and so does what we agree with and when it is in opposition to God’s guidelines than we are not Christians because this means Christ within us and He does no evil.
As documented not all Slaves were cruelly treated and some lived better lives as Slaves than in their own Countries, in the Bible Scriptures, they are also known as Servants and we still have these today although most are called Employees and God has good guidelines concerning these too.

See I had to go there with JC, he was running around doing their bid for awhile there until they broke him down into little fractions. I believe JC grew up with a complex even his family questioned his moves, but as in everything in life one has to learn by experience, which I believe he has.
Honestly I had no idea what racism was all about until I came to school in America. I grew up in Ibadan the largest and most black populated city in West Africa, yes we had Europeans and Americans as a matter of fact there was a big American library and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, you know Americans do things Texas size.
I was strongly influenced by the black American culture from the music Sugar Hill Gang (RIP Big Bad Hank) to Kutis Blow, Cameo, Earth Wind & Fire, MJ, Curtis Mayfield, Brass Band, Roy Ayers, Royce Royce,….to the concerts I saw Shalamar, Whispers, Millie Jacksons, Kool & The Gang, Change, Brothers Johnson…. read Jet and RightOn magazine. Was blown away with Cash Wash and the soundtrack, Richard Pryor, was in love with Pam Grier, Pam Dobson and Thelma from Good Times.
When Jimmy Carter came to Nigeria I didn’t think much of America having a white president, one his name is Jimmy Carter you know there is Jimmy “JJ” and Micheal (Carter) from Good Times so he must have some black in him, two I just figured blacks and whites lived harmoniously. We were never taught about the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade and racism in America in grade or high school.

I grew up in – as you may recall – Memphis Tennessee and we were not taught anything about the trans-Atlantic slave trade, or anything regarding slavery, short of the civil war and lincoln, and hell for that matter students here are still not taught anything about slavery in this country; you were here, see anything that contradicts that opinion? America and her citizens – black and non-black – has a problem recognizing/realizing it’s connection and responsibility with slavery (hell I recently read comments on Folakemi’s blog blaming Nigerians for starting the damn trade; as if they were the root of the problem, some people fail to appreciate history thru the lens of reality) now then, as for your ‘americanized’ taste in music, damn dude, mix in a little miles, a little thelonius, a little Basie, he’ll lend an ear to Heriberto and perhaps a touch of ‘return to forever’ your “close-personal-female” friend will . . .

Baba this is all by design, I recently told Folakemi that I have great respect for African Americans as oppose to British Africans for the simple reason that “freedom” was handed to them but African Americans fought for and are still fighting for their freedom.
You see Africans are still been divided and conquered with International Segregation of black people, so when I went to pick up my I20 and student visa at the American embassy in Lagos I had an orientation with this nice white older lady, she told me what to expect when I got to Madison WI, face my studies don’t get into trouble blah blah blah and she managed to slip an advice for me to stay away from black people and Puerto Ricans, I had this “What you talking bout Willies” thought run through my mind, all I know is am going to America so I paid her no mind.
We are also warned of the violent African Americans carrying guns and shooting you for no good reason hence the name “Acata” while the segregation machine was telling African Americans that the Africans sold them into slavery. So in a sense we Africans came to America and brokered a deal with the Europeans to come to Africa for slave labor, we built and financed the ships they used in shipping us and we printed the bibles they used to mentally enslave us?
Look here besides the white supremacy movement the Chinese are next inline for their racist views and actions towards Africans so I was not surprised when they felt insulted that Obama was chewing gum infront of their leader, who the fuck is their leader I’ll chew gum and smoke Cali Triple OG Kush in his face, The Chinese got many lucrative deals in Abuja Nigeria building roads and installing a $470m CCTV security cameras in Abuja to deter Boko Haram. They bring in most of their labor force from China, this is how much disdain they have for Africans, they also import their prostitutes from China for the use of their labor force. Who talked about quarantining China for the SARS virus?

I believe Obama did that by taking on the healthcare corporate industry with an economy where most corporations had trillions of dollars stashed overseas. For that they took their ire out on his party and the Chinese now feel insulted that Obama was chewing gum in the presence of their leader.
