I love this photo. The pictures of mothers and children in Nigeria are so endearing, especially when I see so many mothers in this country (USA) who seem to neglect their children, or expect someone else to do the teaching and training while the mothers do their own thing.
I incorporated a link to this blog post on a recent post on my blog, Implied Spaces. For some reason the link did not activate correctly. I’ve updated and seems to be fine now. In cas you do not get a ping-back, here is the link.
This is another photo that I find fascinating on your blog, e se for sharing. You probably are aware that in Yoruba ladies don’t ride scooter/motrocycles like our sisters in the east. I wonder why that is? it is so much convenient and easier to get round the town. More power to you!
The matriarch ranks very high in the Igbo family hierarchy especially the first female child (the Ada). I spent some time in the east and was so fascinated with the role of the women. Check out this clip http://youtu.be/rdrYASQsscA

All three are wrapped in the same fabric. How symbolic is that? A precious capturing of familial love.

Love that they’re all cocooned in the same fabric, safe together while they’re whizzing along 🙂
